Warm welcome
We greet you, get a little history, and make sure you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

Consultation & exam
We listen to your story and perform a thorough exam to find the root cause of your pain.
- Step 3
Clear plan
We explain what we found in plain language and recommend a specific, time-bound care plan that may include chiropractic adjustments, decompression sessions, shockwave treatments and/or rehab programs.
- Step 4
First treatment
When clinically appropriate, you may receive your first chiropractic adjustment, decompression session or shockwave treatment the same day.

What does the free consultation include?+
Your free consultation includes a brief conversation with Dr. Grant to discuss your complaints and get an honest opinion on which route of care to pursue.
What should I bring to my first visit?+
Bring your ID and wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Arrive a few minutes early to complete your intake paperwork — or fill it out ahead of time when we text you the link.
How long is the first appointment?+
Plan for about 30 minutes so we have time for a complete consultation, exam, and — when appropriate — your first treatment the same day.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?+
For most people, no. Adjustments are gentle and many patients feel relief right away. You may hear a soft "pop" as joint mobility is restored — that's normal and not painful. We tailor every technique to your comfort and explain what we're doing first.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?+
No. Missouri is a direct-access state, so you can book with us without a referral from another physician.
Is chiropractic care safe?+
Yes. Chiropractic is a widely recognized, conservative, drug-free approach for many musculoskeletal conditions. After your exam we'll flag anything outside our scope and refer you to the right provider when that's the better path.
Do you take insurance?+
ProKinetic is an out-of-network provider — your care is dictated by you, not an insurance company. We keep pricing simple and transparent with straightforward self-pay options, and we do see Medicare patients. We will provide all necessary paperwork for you to self-submit your care to your specific insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?+
Yes — chiropractic care is typically an eligible HSA/FSA expense. We accept HSA/FSA cards along with all major credit cards, cash, and Venmo.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes — we offer payment plans, as low as 0% APR, to qualified patients. We accept Cherry.
How many visits will I need?+
It depends on your condition, how long it's been going on, and your goals. After your exam we recommend a specific, time-bound care plan and explain the reasoning — there's no open-ended commitment.
